It's All About the Math!
Parents and students at Marion Elementary School enjoyed their first-ever Math Night on November 2, 2015. Before the evening of fun and problem solving began, youngsters submitted their best guess as to how many gumballs were in a jar. After a brief orientation, parents and students were divided by grade, and sent to work stations (four at each grade level), given an overall view of the math program and, in many instances, joined their youngsters in solving math problems as presented by the teachers. Some students experienced the joy of solving a math problem with their grandparents.

Mrs. Phillips' 3rd graders were all smiles as Karla Furr, an Arkansas State student, read Grandpa's Teeth. The class solved the mystery of the missing teeth and enjoyed making 3-D "Wanted" posters.
